How did this idea come to life?
This all started with small company of two members in LATVIA.
We’ve always wondered why figure skating, a sport full of grace and beauty, doesn’t have elegant training wear. Competitions are all about stunning dresses, but during training, it’s just plain leggings and tracksuits.
One day, the idea clicked: why not create something that lets skaters feel confident, elegant, and feminine—even during practice? That’s when Melanija reached out to Amanda with a simple message:
‘I have such a crazy idea. The idea is general, but maybe you will be interested!’
Amanda’s reply? ‘Always open to new ideas. :D Tell me what an idea.’
From that moment, we started working together to create training wear that’s not just functional, but also elegant and sustainable.

Amanda
Hi, I am Amanda, a creative at heart, with a bachelor’s degree in product and interior design that fuels my passion for blending beauty and functionality.
Skating has been my world for 21 years, and for the last 10, I’ve devoted myself to synchronized skating—a sport that embodies teamwork, discipline, and grace.
Known for my calm, organized, and analytical approach, I bring this same energy to everything we create at Amélie Active, inspired by the artistry of both design and movement.
Melanija
My name is Melanija, and I’m lucky to be the mother of a beautiful daughter. Becoming a parent gave me fresh energy and confidence. It helped me believe that now is the right time to follow the dreams I’ve been holding onto for so long.
I have over 20 years of experience in figure skating. As a child, I competed in figure skating, later skated just for fun, and eventually became part of a synchronized figure skating team representing Latvia.
In the past, I’ve tried working on other projects, but I often felt that something was missing. Looking back, I think the lack of passion was the reason they didn’t succeed. But this project is different. It excites and motivates me because I know there are others out there, like me, who want to feel feminine and confident during their workouts.
